How a water damage job goes
Moisture check
We take readings across the walls and floors to map how far the water went. It’s free on water damage jobs, a $200 value.
Protect and cut
Floors and rooms get covered. Then we snap a chalk line above the wet area and cut the damaged drywall out so the wall can dry.
Dry and treat
Wet insulation comes out, the framing has to dry, and mold on damaged materials gets cleaned up before the wall is closed.
Rebuild
New insulation and drywall go in, then tape, mud and dustless sanding blend the patch into the original wall.
Paint and finish
Primer, paint, baseboards and trim, so the room looks like nothing happened.
Insurance paperwork
We document the damage with photos and measurements and work with your insurance claim, so the recovery is stress-free.

Questions homeowners ask
What should I do in the first 24 hours after a leak?
Shut off the water, take photos and video of the damage before anything is cleaned up, and call your insurance company. Then get it drying fast: the EPA says wet materials should be dried within 24 to 48 hours to prevent mold.
Do you work with insurance claims?
Yes. We work with your insurance claim and document the damage with photos and measurements, so the recovery is stress-free.
Is the humidity check really free?
Yes. On water damage jobs the humidity check is free, a $200 value. Mapping the moisture shows how far the water went, so we know what has to come out.
Why cut out drywall instead of just drying it?
Drywall and insulation that stay wet inside the wall can grow mold where you can’t see it. Cutting out the wet section lets the wall dry and removes the damaged material.
Do you take emergency calls?
Yes. We take emergency calls 24/7. Call or text 302-887-6574.
Do you repair mold damage?
Yes. Mold repair is part of what we do: we remove and replace mold-damaged drywall and materials and rebuild with mold-resistant products where it makes sense.
Are you insured, and do you guarantee your work?
Apex Interiors is insured, and we stand behind our work. If something isn’t right with our work within 30 days of completion, we’ll come back and make it right at no additional labor cost.
Do you speak Spanish or French?
Yes. Our crew speaks English, Spanish and French.
