How it works

How we repair drywall

1

Protect the room

Floors and furniture get covered before we start. We’re a baby- and pet-friendly crew, so your home stays livable.

2

Cut out the damage

Loose paper, crumbling gypsum and wet or broken board come out, so the repair starts on solid ground.

3

Patch and seal

New board or a patch goes in, and torn paper and stains get sealed and primed so nothing bleeds through.

4

Tape and mud

A mold-resistant setting compound goes on first, then finish coats feathered wide so the repair blends into the wall.

5

Dustless sanding

Our sanders are hooked to HEPA vacuums that catch the dust at the sander, so it doesn’t end up in your home.

6

Paint to match

We prime and paint the repair to match, so you can’t tell where it was.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask

Do you take small drywall jobs?

Yes. One hole or a whole house. A small patch can be booked as an Advanced Service visit ($450, up to 1 hour of work), and anything bigger gets a free estimate. Send a few photos through the form and we’ll get back to you, usually the same day.

How long does a drywall repair take?

Small patches can often be finished in a day with quick-setting compound. Bigger repairs need drying time between coats, so plan on a few days. Your quote spells out the schedule before we start.

Will it be dusty?

Very little. We cover your floors and furniture first and sand with dustless sanders hooked to HEPA vacuums, so the dust is caught at the sander instead of settling in your home.

Can you match my wall or ceiling texture?

Yes. We match the existing texture so the repair blends in. On one Indianapolis job we rebuilt a collapsed plaster ceiling and matched its swirl texture, so you can’t tell where the hole was.

Do you paint after the repair?

Yes. We prime and paint the repaired area to match. If touch-up paint won’t blend on your wall, we’ll tell you and quote repainting the whole wall instead.

Are you insured, and do you guarantee your work?

Apex Interiors is insured, and we stand behind our work. If something isn’t right with our work within 30 days of completion, we’ll come back and make it right at no additional labor cost.

Do you speak Spanish or French?

Yes. Our crew speaks English, Spanish and French.
